Accuracy of wireless vibration sensor

November 24, 2020

Hello CBM

Below is the vibration spectrum that we got from a ball mill via portable vibration analyzer. The dominant peak is at 63.8 Hz i.e. equivalent with the gear mesh frequency between girth gear and pinion.

Below is the vibration spectrum from the same ball mill via online wireless vibration sensor. The dominant peak is at 63.79 Hz i.e. equivalent with the gear mesh frequency between girth gear and pinion. Noticed that the frequency and peak detected are the same?

I am sharing this with you as there are some other practitioners out there are having doubt about the accuracy of the wireless vibration sensor.

I hope that this will clear up your mind that the accuracy of some wireless vibration sensor is very good.

For this project I used:

Portable vibration analyzer: Adash Va4Pro

Wireless vibration sensor: Orlando200
